Shermain, it’s tricky the way its worded but if you put in demo in both username and password, you’ll get in.

        Hi,

I tried both account, demo and admin with their password and I can’t access to product.

        Regards.

Sometimes the user passwords get changed by someone testing the admin functions. The demo is reset every 2 hrs, so the passwords will be reset to the default ever 2 hrs.

Sadly, but this project is barely alive.
To log in as a admininistrator use:
    User: admin
    Password: admin

If the passwords don’t work it is probably because someone changed them. The passwords get reset every couple of hours on the demo sites.

Did you check to see if it was in the moderation queue? Could also happen if our demo is reset at the same time you are using it.

Submitted two documents – neither of them appeared on the site.

    :(

Did you check to see if they were in the approval queue? If you log in as demo/demo and add a file, you would then want to login as admin/admin to see the approval queue.

I have tries\d Demo. It works good and is best for storing scanned or fixed formated files.
It seems that if I am storing regular document / spreadsheet which may move within user for reviewing it required\s to download and upload every edit.

    Hello,

I checked the demo version, but could not figure out if docMan could be suitable for us.
I am searching for a tool we can use for our project work.
We would need a platform where group members can upload documents and get information on the current status; more or less a deliverable management system.
For us the following features would be important:
    - Status report for deliverables in conjunction with a schedule (deadline: dd.mm.yyyy,).
    - The following status messages should be displayed: fill submitted, file past due, file accepted by the group, file forwarded to cours instructor, file accepted by course instructor.
    - If the file is uploaded, the status messages should automatically jump to “submitted”.
    - It would be nice but not essential if the system automatically sends out reminders to group members, before reaching the deadline and if the deadline is exceeded.
    - the software should be installed on a local server and allow for user management.

Could you let me know if docMan is suitable for that kind of deliverable management?

    Thank you very much, M.

i am not able to upload any document with admin & demo user

    • DMS Administrator May 16, 2013 at 4:58 am #

The username/passwords are “admin/admin” and “demo/demo”. It is possible that someone changed those in the demo, but it will “reset” every hour so try again after waiting a while.
